Seanie Johnston may be on his way back to Cavan. Kildare FM reported late last night that Johnston may be on his way back to Cavan Gaels following his transfer to St. Kevin’s - and the Kildare inter-county side - last year. The move has not worked out as Johnston would have hoped, and he has failed to earn a starting spot in Kieran Mcgeeney's side.
We are hearing that Seanie Johnston has been granted a transfer back to Cavan Gaels. Awaiting confirmation...

Johnston’s switch from Cavan to Kildare was a controversial one and flirted with the ridiculous as it saw Johnston line out for Coill Dubh, St. Kevin’s sister club, in a hurling game for less than two minutes. Johnston was required to make a club appearance before being eligible for the Kildare inter-county side and with St. Kevin’s schedule not able to accommodate the need Johnston had to sample the small ball game for the briefest of career switches.
