Johnny Sexton will reach the milestone of 100 international caps for Ireland on Saturday.
The Leinster out-half has been handed a starting berth by head coach Andy Farrell for the clash with Japan.
Sexton also captains the side.
He'll be partnered at half back by Jamison Gibson Park, who starts at scrum-half ahead of Conor Murray.
In the forwards, there's a first start at loosehead for Andrew Porter.
There's also a significant milestone for Tadhg Furlong, who will win a 50th cap.
He has been playing there for Leinster since the start of the season and offers Farrell more possibilities in that area.
Saturday's game at the Aviva Stadium will be followed by the meetings with New Zealand and Argentina in the coming weeks.
The IRFU have confirmed that a number of tickets are still available for the game against Japan and are on general sale.
