Shane Long is currently undergoing a medical at Hull City with a view to joining the club before the end of the week.

The Irish international now appears to be on the verge of joining the Tigers after West Brom announced earlier today that they had accepted an undisclosed offer for the 26-year-old.

The Baggies say that they had twice offered the striker a new deal on improved terms but that Long had refused to sign a contract extension.

Hull say that they hope to be able to announce that the transfer has been finalized either later today or tomorrow morning.
