This season's men's and women's Guinness Six Nations Championships are set to be completed in late October, following World Rugby's publication of an international calendar for the rest of 2020.

Ireland's matches against Italy will be played on the weekend of October the 25th ahead of travelling to face France on the following weekend.

Yesterday French Rugby president Bernard Laporte revealed that the men's game between France and Ireland had been fixed for the Stade de France on the evening of Saturday the 31st of October.

The following week will be a rest period ahead of a tournament (4th of November to the 5th December) between the Six Nations teams and two invited nations, believed to be Fiji and Georgia, with a final at Twickenham.

World Rugby also confirmed that the 2020 Rugby Championship will run off in a six week period between the 7th of November and the 12th of December, with New Zealand likely to host the competition between the All-Blacks, Australia, Argentina and World Cup winners South Africa.

The rescheduling of the Rugby Championship could see Munster without their new South African signings RG Snyman and Damian de Allende for the start of their Heineken Champions Cup campaign.

"The rescheduling of the domestic, European and international calendars will accommodate the ability for the professional clubs to have access to their star southern hemisphere international players for the completion of the postponed and rescheduled 2019/20 seasons at a time in which they would have ordinarily been on international duty in August and September," World Rugby said in a statement.
