Sligo Rovers have taken the novel approach of allowing a fan announce their latest signing this morning.
The club announced last night, that they were to run a competition to allow a fan break the news of the club's latest signing on their Twitter account later today.

This morning the club announced that @JohnMcG1928 will be the lucky fan to announce the signing. The 2012 League Champions currently only have five players signed for next season after a disappointing 2015.

Whoever the signing is, it is a nice way for the club to build some excitement around a new arrival to the Showgrounds.
The club still have a long way to match how Crystal Palace announced the signing of Neil Warnock as manager in 2014. The club allowed the then club sponsor to announce Warnock's arrival on their Twitter account.
