It's not often you score a hat-trick and end up on the losing side.

Tipperary and Galway played out by far the game of the hurling championship this afternoon and what a game it was.

What was seen as a mostly disappointing championship, it took up until this semi-final for the competition to ignite. 

Passion, skill and energy all on display for the full 70 minutes and Callanan was one of the game's sharp shooters, firing over 3-9 for his personal tally.

It wasn't to be however, the Tribesmen snatching a late point to ensure them safe passage to the final where they'll meet Kilkenny once again. 

His outstanding performance put him at the top of our list this week.
