St. Patrick's Athletic have confirmed a case of COVID-19 in their playing squad.
Friday's scheduled SSE Airtricity Premier Division game with Dundalk at Richmond Park has been postponed as a result.
St. Pat's are the second League of Ireland club in as many days to report a cases of coronavirus.
On Tuesday, First Division side Galway United confirmed that two members of their squad had tested positive, forcing their game with Drogheda United to be postponed.
Pat's say their entire first-team squad and coaching staff are now restricting their movements as they await testing.
The league resumed in late-July and remained untouched by the virus until this week.
However, with the league's summer resumption came the proviso that it would be wrapped up by late October/early November.
A raft of rearranged fixtures may now put the proposed final date of the season under threat which, in turn, could place extra financial burdens on clubs shorn of all matchday income.
