Stephen Ferris has emerged as a major doubt for Ireland’s upcoming November Internationals.

The Ulster flanker limped out of last night’s 45 – 20 win over Edinburgh at Ravenhill with an ankle injury.

Ireland have already lost captain Brian O’Driscoll and Rory Best as they prepare to host South Africa next Saturday.

Last night’s match was Ferris’ first in a month as concerns over his fitness grow ahead of the Springboks clash.
