Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has become the latest former player to be voted into the Premier League's Hall of Fame.

The now 40-year-old scored 120 goals and provided 92 assists in the competition over a 17-year period.

Current Rangers boss Gerrard is the first former Liverpool player to be honoured, following Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane, Eric Cantona, Frank Lampard and Dennis Bergkamp, who were named in the Hall of Fame prior to today.

In all, one club man Gerard made 504 Premier League appearances and was named player of the month on six occasions.

Famously, although he was a Champions League winning captain, Gerrard never won the Premier League title.

He came closest in 2014 when Liverpool were pipped by Manchester City.

A Premier League panel and public votes combine to select the inductees from a 23-man shortlist.
