He may not have played in the FA Cup Fifth Round tie, but Sutton's substitute goalkeeper Wayne Shaw grabbed the headlines after his side's 2-0 loss to Arsenal.

Shaw, who is also Sutton's goalkeeping coach, was seen eating a pie on the sidelines, much to the amusement of the commentators, and those watching on television.

Due to the high publicity of the game, Sutton's shirt sponsors gave up their spot, so the club earned substantially more money in a one-off deal from a betting company. Before the game, the company offered odds of 8/1 on Shaw being seen on television eating a pie.

Shaw could not be subject to an FA investigation, due to eating the pie. Football law expert Daniel Geey said the goalkeeper could have breached rules in regards to match-betting.

Sutton United return to the National League on Saturday. They face an away trip to Torquay United.
