Every Manchester United defeat ends up causing less of a stir.

Yesterday's 3 - 1 loss at Stamford Bridge is already a seventh of a crushingly disappointing Premier League campaign.

Pat Nevin told us that some squad members are not pulling their weight for David Moyes.

"I think there's something else with some of the players. It didn't look to me that [Evra] was that bothered. One or two players are thinking 'he's not our manager, I'm not killing myself for this guy'. I've watched players do it where a new guy comes in and they say 'we're not playing for him'. It can be that simplistic," said Nevin.

And from Chelsea's point of view, Nevin also felt that yesterday's performance demonstrated why Juan Mata has been left out regularly by Jose Mourinho.

"I think Mourinho's tactics were perfect. I can see what he's trying to do with the way he's picked that system. Those three attacking midfielders they have work so hard. The reason why Juan Mata doesn't get a game has never ever been clearer than yesterday. He would never be able to do that attacking forward defending. As soon as the defence have the ball, they're right on top of them and Mata tries to do it but it's simply what he's not good at."
