Lyon have signed Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on loan until the end of the season.
The 25-year old rejoins the club whom he left for Spurs in a €62million deal in the summer of 2019.
Ndombele's move away from North London comes on the same day that Antonio Conte managed to ship off another of his problem children - Dele Alli - off to Everton.
Spurs' twin signings from Juventus of Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevksi are due to be confirmed be confirmed before the transfer window closes on Monday night.
Antonio Conte has grown increasingly frustrated with Ndombele's input - or lack thereof - at Tottenham.
“This type of situation, they are in football,” Conte said after another lacklustre display in the recent FA Cup win over Morecambe.
“You have to be good to change the opinions. I was a player and it happened sometimes to me that someone was unhappy with my performance.
“This is our life. It’s OK. We have to continue to work and try to be better next time. We have to know very well that if we perform well, the fans are happy.
"If you don’t perform well, the fans are not happy.”
Ndombele is seen by Lyon as a like-for-like replacement for Bruno Guimaraes, following his €42million transfer to Newcastle United.
The midfielder made 96 appearances during his original run with Lyon, scoring on four occasions and earning international recognition with France.
Before the closure of the transfer window, Lyon also completed the €15million signing of Romain Faivre from Brest, signing a four-and-a-half year deal.
