Colm Begley , Kevin Meaney and Ross Munnelly are unlikely to be fit in time for Laois' Allianz League opener with Donegal next month.

Meaney is still recovering from a back problem while leg and shoulder injuries have sidelined Begley and Munnelly for the start of the season.

Laois boss Tomas O'Flatharta told Midlands 103 that he is "unsure" of the time frame of their recoveries but says it is "tough to see them playing in the first round".
