Tyrone are set to be without influential forward Stephen O'Neill for the rest of their League campaign after undergoing ankle surgery last week.
The 33-year-old has opted to go under the knife after he was unable to play in his side's first two league games against Derry and Mayo.
Tyrone are hopeful that O'Neill will return in time for the Red Hand County's Ulster championship opener against Down on May 18th.
Meanwhile, Down's Danny Hughes has been forced to retire from inter-county football.
The former All Star had major groin surgery last year and has struggled following three years of injury.
