Cork retained their All Ireland Senior Camogie Championship yesterday afternoon in Croke Park after beating Galway by 1-13 to 0-09.

Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan spoke to Cork captain Ashling Thompson after the game and she was delighted to lift the O'Duffy Cup for the first time as captain. "Its an absolute dream for me. It puts the icing on the cake".

The captain told Oisin that she only felt comfortable with ten seconds left in the game, and leading by seven points. Thompson was concussed late in the game but she said she had to finish the final even when the game was decided. "Unless my legs are broken, I have to get up no matter what".

"I'm very passionate, very emotional..... Camogie means everything to me" she told Oisin. The win means Cork now join Dublin at the top of the honours table with 26 All Ireland titles each.
