Christmas is Martin O'Neill's favourite time of the year.

And as we enjoy these Yuletide festivities, Martin O'Neill appears to be feeling gracious as he reflects on a prosperous 2015. In an interview with Setanta Sports, O'Neill revealed how he will enjoy the build-up to Euro 2016 along with the faithful Irish contingent.

'I'm going to be part of this (the build-up). That's something that will stand with me as I start to vusalise France. We will go with determination to do well and play well. The games are difficult but closer to the time, I'll be back to my upbeat best.'

The former Celtic boss was also in a complimentary mood. When asked about his relationship with Roy Keane, O'Neill proceeded to give his coaching associate a glittering report card that solidifies Keane's legacy as a great soccer player.

'He's excellent company and he has been very important to us. He is an iconic figure; not just in Irish football and British football, but in world football. The number of people all over the world that come to him for autographs and photographs, is great.'

'And why shouldn't he be? He was a world class player despite what Alex Ferguson says because he drove that team, not just for a month or two months but for a decade. They had great players in Manchester United but none of them were as forceful as him.'
