You've undoubtedly done a single 'take' when you've needed to confirm some information. You've almost definitely double-taked. You might have even gone for a triple in some particularly remarkable circumstances. But what about the fabled quadruple take? Sir Patrick Stewart is here to school you.
The 73-year-old thespian / former Star Trek star was kind enough to provide his fiancée Sunny Ozell with a lighthearted but fascinating masterclass on the most challenging, mythical of acting techniques. Musician Ozell was gracious enough to share the one-of-a-kind lesson with the world.
It comes with a warning from Stewart about how this deviates dramatically from any other 'takes' you might be familiar with: "the first three were based on truth, on naturalism: on spontaneous, naturlistic acting. This, the quadruple take, is in a different category altogether... I don't have anything beyond the quadruple take". If you're prepared for the psychological intensity, you can watch what is very possibly the most amazing YouTube video of our times below:
"That might have actually been a quintuple take, I lost count halfway through". Sir Patrick, you are a master of your craft.
