A player from Argentine club Belgrano was struck in the face by riot police during a match with Newell's Old Boys.
Belgrano defender Gaston Turus was attempting to calm the visiting supporters who were fighting with the Newell's fans when he was struck in the face by a police baton. He required lengthy treatment to a deep cut under his eye.
His team-mate Luciano Lollo was sent off for fighting with a policeman.
