A tilt at the Scudetto is likely to be out of reach for Roma this season, particularly with Juventus and Napoli waiting in the wings.
But if Roma can keep scoring superb goals like last night's effort from Mehdi Benatia, then all is possible.
The Moroccan centre-back slalomed his way through a pack of Sampdoria defenders before beating the goalkeeper to open the scoring.
