The casting for the iconic US-adaptation of Ricky Gervais' The Office took place over three months in 2003. 

Some of the successful auditionees would go on to have successful acting careers, like Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski and most of all, Steve Carell. 

But what about the people who never got the part? You'll be shocked to discover that quite a few of them went on to have pretty successful careers of their own.

Personally, we'd have loved to have seen Breaking Bad's Bob Odenkirk as Michael Scott and Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet as Kevin.
