Liverpool’s defensive talisman Virgil van Dijk feels they deserve to win trophies this season.
The Reds have endured a wobble in recent weeks in their pursuit of the Premier League title. They’ve drawn four of their last six matches which has allowed Manchester City to move ahead in the table.
Liverpool are back in action on Sunday when they play host to Burnley, that comes before games with Fulham and Spurs in the Premier League.
The Dutch international believes Liverpool will regain their composure and has strongly rejected the claim that they are starting to crack under the pressure in an interview with the BBC.
"That's the unlucky bit for us, they've [Manchester City] been fantastic throughout the whole season," van Dijk told The Premier League Show.
"We've been doing fantastic as well. I think it's something good for people that love football to see.
"We'll give everything we have, and they probably will, too.
"The Premier League would be something special, also this year because the race is so tight.
"I want to achieve everything that's possible in football and get everything out of myself and not have any regrets when I retire.
"I am enjoying it, I feel good.” 💪@VirgilvDijk on winning @StanChart's Player of the Month, his recent form, and the title race...

Virgil van Dijk: We deserve silverware
"My dream is to win trophies with Liverpool because Liverpool deserve trophies.
"We're close, we're still in the race and we're going to fight until the end."
"Playing for Liverpool makes me enjoy it the same way as when I started playing football.
"There's a lot of pressure but, without pressure, there's not really something to play for. I'm enjoying every bit of it.
"When I'm on the pitch, I'm definitely someone that gives everything for the win.
"As a centre-back, you need to slow the game down, and sometimes you need to make sure that you speed it up.
"With how we play, there can be a lot of chaos going on, with counter-attacks and when we win the ball we go again and go again. Sometimes, you need someone to calm things down."
