It has not been a good weekend for the Copa America organisers when it comes to national anthems.

On Saturday evening, Chile's national anthem was played instead of Uruguay's before their game with Mexico in Arizona. On Sunday, the Chilean anthem was finally played, but was cut-off in favour of a Pitbull song, before the team's 2-1 loss to Argentina.

The opening bars of Canción Nacional were played as normal in Levi's Stadium, before Pitbull's Copa America anthem cut across on the tannoy. The Chilean players seemed unfazed by the monumental mistake.

In a repeat of last year's Copa America final, Chile played Argentina in their opening game, but lost 2-1. Two goals in the opening 15 minutes of the second half from Angel Di Maria and Ever Banega gave Argentina a 2-0 lead before Chile scored a late consolation through Jose Fuenzalida.

Di Maria's goal was the highlight of the game, as the pre-tournament favourites began their campaign with a win.
