For the past six months, former Cork City and Sunderland striker Roy O'Donovan has been plying his trade in Australia with Central Coast Mariners.

But last night, the Cork native got himself into a spot of bother on the pitch - only to find himself incredibly lucky to avoid a straight red card.

During a match against Wellington Phoenix, the 30-year-old clearly headbutted opponent Manny Muscat in an incident which saw him receive just a yellow card:
