During the second round of the World Golf Championships event in Miami on Friday, Rory McIlroy did what many amateur golfers would surely feel like doing when a shot doesn't go according to plan.
After one of the Northern Irish golfer's shots went into the water, the club in question followed into the lake. McIlroy decided to play on, minus a 3-iron.
Rather than the World No 1's club being left to a watery grave, however, an enterprising scuba diver decided to recover it the following day. The motivations of the diver were not immediately clear, but certainly he has ended up with a serious collector's item.
There's something wonderful about the moment when the scuba diver triumphantly lifts the club into the air:
