Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has criticised the continued media coverage of his management.

He has denied reports that he offered to resign in the wake of last weekend's loss at home to Southampton.

During an occasionally fire press conference today ahead of the FA Cup fourth round tie against Derby County, the Dutchman expressed disappointment with how he has been treated by the media.

"I am here because I am obliged to do that where you ask to me. Of course, I have certain people that I like because they put a question in a very respectful way. But a lot is also in a disrespectful way," he said.
