On Monday Rewind, Derek McGrath discusses Maurice Shanahan opening up about depression and elite athletes' struggles with playing at such a high level with Oisin Langan.
Shanahan, an All-Star hurler, who had an excellent year by anyone's standards, opened up at the beginning of November with his struggles.
McGrath believes managers have a duty to open up to their players and understand them on a deeper level than what they can do on the field. The Waterford manager believes that passing problems on can help and says what Shanahan did took "real courage".
Paddy Mulligan also speaks about Ireland's Euro 2016 draw and Simon Mignolet being a weak link for Liverpool and Belgium. Mark O'Toole speaks about the reaction to the McGregor and Aldo showdown while rugby author and Joe.ie writer Patrick McCarry discusses the Champions Cup.
