West Brom's impressive run continued as they beat struggling Sunderland 4 - 2 at the Stadium of Light.
Zoltan Gera gave the Baggies a lead in fantastic fashion by curling in from long range after 30 minutes.
And Shane Long soon made it two. Sunderland keeper Simon Mignolet fumbled a shot on goal. Long was on hand to poke the ball away from the Belgian stopper and stroked it into the empty net.
Craig Gardener pulled one back for the Black Cats with 17 minutes left but Romelu Lukaku's penalty 10 minutes later reestablished West Brom's lead.
However a Stephan Sessegnon finish from a rebound with three minutes to go reduced the arrears.
West Brom did not panic and made it 4 - 2 through Marc-Antoine Fortune in injury time as Sunderland chased the game.
Steve Clarke's side have now won their last four games and their reward is a place in the top three - at least until tomorrow.
