Chelsea have confirmed that they have agreed a £30 million deal to sign Brazilian midfielder Willian.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho confirmed earlier this afternoon that the attacking midfielder had become an "extra" transfer target for the club as they attempted to hijack his move from Russian club Anzhi to Tottenham.
Chelsea now say that the player will have a medical over the weekend before a work permit hearing early next week.
The Brazilian had his medical at Tottenham yesterday but last minute interest from Chelsea saw the Anzhi attacking midfielder change his mind.
The Blues bid a similar figure to Tottenham but added more lucrative add-ons.
The change could affect a number of other deals including Gareth Bale to Spurs and Rooney to Chelsea.
The London club may also need to sell one or two of their attacking midfielders to create space.
Currently Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Oscar, Kevin De Bruyne, Victor Moses and Andre Schurrle competing for three positions before Willian is thrown into the mix.
