Yeovil Town have won promotion to the Championship, with a 2-1 playoff final win over Brentford, at Wembley.

Irish striker Paddy Madden scored the opening goal of the game for Yeovil, with a superb outside of the boot, long range effort that found the top corner of the Brentford net. Yeovil added a second before half time through Dan Burn and, despite a Harlee Dean header on 51 minutes, it was enough to see them into English football’s second tier.

Kevin Dawson, another young Irish player, also starred in the win for Yeovil, starting the game in midfield.
