This week Patrick looks at the best history books available this November.

We’ll be talking to author Azar Gat about his new book ‘The Causes of War and the Spread of Peace’. We’ll also be discussing the role of the Auxiliaries during the Irish War of Independence, the history of paper, the history of Mozambique and controversial and talented writer Francis Stuart. To finish off tonight’s show we’ll be looking at the history of chamber music as part of a new Musical History Night School series.
