In reality though, Louis Van Gaal's side might not be playing fantastic football consistently but are in the midst of a winning run.

By winning this Sunday, United will hope to spark a few Christmas rows in Liverpool's presently dysfunctional family. If all goes to plan, Van Gaal's Christmas carol choir may further convince Mrs Liverpool to force Brendan Rodgers to sleep on the couch during Yuletide.
