On tonight’s Hard Shoulder Ivan Yates discusses Donal Óg Cusack’s decision to step down in the wake of the controversy caused by his character reference for Tom Humphries, who was jailed for two-and-a-half years for grooming and sexually abusing a teenage girl.
Ivan stated that he feels strongly that while Donal wrote a character reference, this does not mean he condones any criminal activity that Tom Humphries is clearly guilty of.
