Musical icon Alison Moyet has enjoyed a career spanning three decades; from her punk origins in the late 1970s, to becoming one half of the hugely popular electronic pop duo 'Yazoo' in the 1980s, to an international soul singer who has altogether sold more than 20 million records.
Moyet has won over many hearts with her candid nature speaking on her own battles with weight and mental illness, inspiring many others to battle their demons as she has done.
Back with a new album entitled 'the minutes', her first record since 2007, Alison is in Ireland to play three dates in Cork, Belfast and Dublin this week.
Moyet spoke to Pat on this morning's programme to share her thoughts on life, a music career spanning three decades, motherhood, ageing gracefully, and returning to the spotlight.
