Richard Dawkins is one of the best known scientists in Britain. As a writer his books such as The Selfish Gene, Unweaving the Rainbow and The Ancestor’s Tale all bring evolutionary theory to a popular audience.
An advocate for science and rationalism, he is also famous or some might say infamous for his championing of atheism and his book the god delusion has sold over two million copies.
Richard joined Pat live from the BBC Oxford studios this morning to discuss his new book, which is a change from his previous works as it is a memoir. The book tells the personal story of his early life, for the first time, right up to becoming a household name.
