AIB Chief Executive David Duffy says his bank will increase its mortgage write-offs in the coming months.
The bank had been criticised after its appearance before the Oireachtas Finance Commitee this week - in which it suggested that sending 'legal letters' to mortgage-holders in arrears counted as a 'long-term solution'.
He added that he doesn't believe AIB will need extra capital from the government after the next round of stress-tests.
