A Catholic Bishop wants parishioners to help recruit priests.
Dr Kevin Doran has invited people to find one potential priest among men they know, and get them to contact him or a member of a vocations team.
He was speaking as he was ordained Bishop of Elphin at a ceremony in Sligo yesterday.
This morning, he clarified those comments on Newstalk's Breakfast programme:
The Bishop says entering the seminary is no longer discussed as a valid life choice in families. He says we need to renew a culture of faith because the 'focus on eternal life has shifted'.
Presenter Ivan Yates also asked the Bishop to comment on the Pope's weekend claim that one in 50 people in the church is involved in paedophilia.
Bishop Doran says it is difficult to quantify how many paedophiles are in the general population, but the church is affected in a way that makes it vital it deals with this societal issue:
