While the world focused on the tragic killing of 17 people in Paris last week, there has been far less focus, debate and outrage about events in West Africa, where, last week, Boko Haram massacred up to 2,000 people.
The town of Baga was captured by the Islamic militant group, with hundreds, if not thousands, killed by Boko Haram.
Following the horror seen in Baga, there were further attacks across Nigeria, with 23 people killed by female suicide bombers over the weekend, including one in which a 10 year old girl was reportedly used to carry out the attack.
