The hamburger war in Ireland is sizzling close to boiling point.
In a call for global peace, or perhaps a major marketing stunt, Burger King recently extended the olive branch to their fiercest global rival and made McDonald's an offer for a one-day, two-burger moment of harmony and fraternity.
While McDonald's rejected the idea of the 'McWhopper', it got us thinking about the differences - and similarities - between them all.
It has also come to the fore, as McDonald's launches a new addition to its Irish menu, the McMór, which will feature Ballymaloe Relish and Charleville Cheddar.
But we dare not forget other big hitters like Eddie Rockets, Supermacs and several other gourmet burger outlets.
