A water meter outside a home in Co Clare shows more than 1.5 million litres has passed through it since November.
The device was installed outside the council home of Pat Madden (59) in Shannon on November 7th.
He says he is "gobsmacked" at the latest readings, and has been in contact with the crew who installed the meter, as well as Clare County Council.
Mr Madden says he has realised water is running through the meter, even when his taps are off.
He told the Pat Kenny Show here on Newstalk he is trying to figure out where the leak is.
This comes almost four months after a similar situation outside a house in Co Westmeath.
A meter installed back in November was said to be leaking some 28,800 litres every 24 hours.
Irish Water have said the owner's bill will be capped at the assessed rate and he would not be billed for the leakage.
