Searches are continuing in Counties Westmeath and Cavan following the disappearance of two Dublin men. The car used by Eoin O'Connor and Anthony Keegan was discovered this morning just outside Mullingar.
The pair were last seen when the left Dublin to travel to Ballyjamesduff on Tuesday evening.
The focus of the garda investigation is being prioritised in the location where the missing men's car was found today.
The silver grey Ford Focus was discovered in a car park at Lough Owel off the N4 outside Mullingar in Westmeath in the early hours of this morning.
The car has been taken away for a forensic examination, while searches of the area are currently taking place.
The garda underwater unit is also involved.
Eoin O'Connor (32) and Anthony Keegan (33) are both from Coolock in north Dublin and are known to gardai.
They were last seen on Tuesday before they travelled to the Ballyjamesduff area of Cavan - where searches have also been taking place today.
Gardai believe they had gone there to collect a debt.
The men were reported missing by their families on Wednesday after they became concerned for their welfare.
Paul Williams, special correspondent with the Irish Independent, told The Pat Kenny Show on Newstalk earlier that gardaí will be examining mobile phone records as the search continues.
