Keith Wood spoke to Pat Kenny this morning ahead of the Shannon Airport European Sport Tourism Summit taking place next month at Thomond Park in Limerick.

The former Irish captain was instrumental in bringing the event to Limerick and he hopes it will show the value of sports tourism in Ireland.

The country has excellent experience in hosting international sporting events such as the Special Olympics World Games, the Ryder Cup and also some stages of the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia.
