Gardaí are continuing to question a man in his 50s, following the discovery of a massive bomb in Lucan, Dublin at the weekend.
Hundreds of wedding guests had to be evacuated for around five hours on Saturday night while the army bomb disposal team made the device safe.
It has now been removed for further testing.
Tom Brady, security editor with the Irish Independent says gardaí believe the device was to be used in the north, and are investigating the possible involvement of dissident republicans:
The bomb was removed for further examination and a forensic examination of the scene was carried out.
