Micheál Martin was speaking amid the ongoing controversy over the newly-established IBRC inquiry.
He was among the opposition figures invited by the Finance Minister Michael Noonan to discuss the issue last night.

It is a move he says shows the coalition realised the game was up on their original plans for an investigation.
That format has been described by Tánaiste and Labour leader Joan Burton as a 'scoping exercise'.
But Micheál Martin told the Pat Kenny Show here on Newstalk that she is wrong.
