The mother of a young Wicklow man who was stabbed to death five years ago is calling for changes in the way Ireland handles inquests into people's deaths.
Sebastian Creane was attacked and killed at his home in Bray by Shane Clancy on the 16th of August 2009.
Shane also stabbed his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Hannigan, and Sebastian's brother Dylan before taking his own life.
Their story is to be told in a TV3 documentary tonight, 'A Search for Justice - Death in Bray'.
Sebastian's mother Nuala has criticised the list of witnesses called to appear at Shane Clancy's inquest - she wanted the manufacturer of medication that Shane had been taking to be called - and she questions the manner some of the evidence at the hearing was presented.
Nuala Creane told Newstalk's Pat Kenny Show she wants changes. Specifically, she would like protocols and media regulations to be drawn up, and an overseeing coroner to be appointed at inquests:Tonight's documentary on TV3 will feature interviews with members of both families, as well as friends who were at the Creane house on the night Sebastian and Shane died.
