The parents of murdered woman Rachael O'Reilly say they 'cannot believe' that her killer is eligible for parole.
Joe O'Reilly (40) is serving life for killing his wife Rachel at their home in Naul, Co. Dublin in October 2004.
He lost an appeal against his conviction in 2009 but maintains his innocence. He has also launched another appeal, claiming that his case should be declared a miscarriage of justice.
Rose and Jim Callaly say they are surprised that he is automatically entitled to come up for parole.
Rachel's parents say he has still not shown any remorse, and her father says he believes Joe O'Reilly is "a dangerous, cold-blooded psychopathic killer".
They spoke to the Pat Kenny Show here on Newstalk.
