With less than 24 hours to go until the start of the State exams, secondary school students across the country are being advised to keep the exams in perspective.
In total, 119,000 students will sit the Leaving and Junior Certs at 5,000 centres.
One third of this year's Leaving Cert candidates are preparing to sit higher level maths.
The exact number is up slightly on last year's figure - however an estimated 2,000 are expected to change their minds on the day and opt for ordinary level.
Speaking to Shane Coleman on The Pat Kenny Show, Katherine Donnelly - Education Correspondent with the Irish Independent - had some advice for students preparing for the exams.
