35 years ago this week, on October 9, 1978, Jacques Brel died. He was the Belgian Bob Dylan, as big a star in the French speaking world as Elvis and the Beatles. He sold 25 million records, is considered one of the great popular artists of the 20th century...yet in the English speaking world he remains largely anonymous.
