What: On Wednesday 26th February, Pat Kenny will travel to Athlone to broadcast live from the Sheraton Hotel. This will be the first time The Pat Kenny Show will broadcast from Athlone in front of a local audience since joining Newstalk last year. As well as bringing you the sharpest analysis of news and current affairs, Pat will be speaking to former Fianna Fail Minister Mary O’Rourke and her son Councillor Aengus O'Rourke about the most recent stories in Irish Politics.

After recently adding a decathlon gold to his medal collection, United States Olympic Champion Ashton Eaton will also be speaking to Pat live. The show will feature a report on Count John McCormack from local historian and senior librarian Gearoid O'Brien. We will also be joined by the Athlone native who owns and runs one of the world's premier celebrity memorabilia auction houses - with clients including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Cher and U2.

And to go with all of that, the Athlone Choral Society will be providing musical entertainment on the day.
