Following Sunday night's electric finale to Stuart Carolan's Love/Hate, Tom Vaughan Lawlor joined Pat Kenny in studio to discuss the character of Nidge and how he has changed over the years.

The actor spoke about how his life has changed from working on the show and how he thinks there is far more to Nidge than just being a criminal.

When discussing the finale, he told Pat: "I needed to be on my own to process it."

He also stated that he thinks Siobhán had an extremely interesting development across the course of the show: "Her character's journey was one of the richest."

"I think Stuart [Carolan] was very sensitive, making sure we were considered."

Speaking about the impact the show has had on his life, Tom said: "People are incredibly generous and warm, it's a sign of the success of the show. It has been an incredible thing to have been part of."

However, Tom did confirm that there is remaining mystery: the whereabouts of his runners.

"I have no idea where they are to be honest!"
