Canadian actress Jessica Paré was about to give up acting before being offered a small part on popular TV series Mad Men.
Jessica told The Picture Show that when she accepted the role of Megan, Don Draper's secretary, she had no expectation that it would lead to her becoming one of the shows leading actors.
Since filming her final scenes with the Mad Men cast, Jessica has joined forces with Irish directors Rob and Ronan Burke to make the latest Irish romantic/comedy 'Standby'.
The feature tells the story of twenty-something year old Alan (played by Brian Gleeson) who, after being stood up at the altar and fired from his banking career, finds himself working with his mother as a part-time tourist advisor in Dublin Airport. It is here he is reunited with first love Alice (Paré).
